Arwold Koelewijn

Arwold started his career in 1997 as information analyst at a small trading company. In 1999 he was introduced to Business Intelligence, building reports with ABAP, the programming language of SAP. When he moved to KPMG Consulting in 2000 he became an SAP logistic consultant. In these first years Arwold worked in several SAP area’s as FICO, MM, PP, Workflow, thus building a huge experience with SAP R/3 and the business processes related to it. In 2001 he entered his first SAP BW project, where he combined his knowledge of logistics and business intelligence. By the end of 2002 he was lead consultant for a full-cycle BW implementation concerning a global template and local roll-outs. From that moment on Arwold has done several Business Intelligence projects, most of them full cycle in several roles.  Mainly in the business area’s as banking, public transportation, higher education and fast moving consumer goods.

Arwold has more than 20 years experience with implementing SAP systems in several roles as an SAP expert or projectleader. His main area of expertise is Business Intelligence, specifically the SAP BI/BO tools. As a projectleader he has experience with the methods TMAP (testing) and PRINCE2 and Agile (Scrummaster). He has also a profound knowledge of the business processes and SAP modules for logistics, CRM, Finance and Controlling.

In July 2011 Arwold Koelewijn was published as co-author in the Dutch magazine THEMA (target audience managers in Higher Education) with the article titled: “UvAdata, management information in Higher Education, beyond the myth”. This article is a case study of the implementation of SAP BI at the University of Amsterdam.

In August 2013 Arwold Koelewijn published as co-author a paper at the EAIR (European Association for Institutional Research) forum 2013 in Rotterdam, titled: “Be Informed”, a management information system at the UM: a case study“.
